Super impressed throughout, always felt like they were on top of everything. Knew the square footage and the prices of similar models right away, knew what to do to spruce it up and whom to use, and what colors, etc.....also knew what was unnecessary and a waste of investment. Got the highest $ for this model ever that I could see, 70K more than the Zillow estimate, 21 day escrow. Tough to imagine how it could have gone better.
Staging was included.
The specific negotiations with the first time home buyer who was very particular, were handled great with the appropriate amount of steadfastness to get the process done.

Why did you need an agent, and why did you hire us?
We spent a long time searching for an agent(s) since we had put our rather unique house on the market before and had VERY LITTLE success. After working with Kevin and Erin, we discovered that our doubts about previous agents were well founded.
We were actually looking for people with previous experience in another industry with the thought in mind that they would come to real estate with sales experience and a better understanding of the process. Kevin and Erin came with a media background which serves them well when working with clients and potential buyers.
What did you like most about working with us?
We were looking for agents with creativity. The housing market is strong but our house had some inherent difficulties to be overcome. Specifically, we have a dirt road and mediocre internet service. They creatively found ways to overcome both and present them in the best light without ignoring their existence. They also found many, many marketing outlets to reach people who really wanted a country site with a fabulous view as well as potential animal or large gardening options.
We also liked their nice balance of “you really must do this to sell the house” tempered with a gentle “is that OK with you????” They were able to explain their understanding of the present client culture vs. our need to get the most value from a house we have loved for 40 years. They did so in a way that alleviated our concerns but made us face the market as it was, and not as a seller wants it to be.
We liked the fact that Kevin and Erin consider themselves constant students. They clearly have not come up with a cookie cutter plan for selling every unique house the same way. Instead, they evaluate each house for its unique plusses and minuses and take advantage of the former and seek to mitigate the latter. They also appeared to us to be constantly seeking input from experts in the various issues that came up.

When we turned down 3 poor offers, Kevin ramped up his creativity and developed a set of “Burma Shave” like signs. He printed and planted a row of these signs along our dirt road that said:

What were other benefits to working with us?
We were very impressed that Erin was certified in house staging and were even more so when the final product was installed. We had a nice combination of our items mixed in with her items and there was sufficient furniture to live comfortably in the artificial environment of having our house viewed by other agents at a moment’s notice. We were also pleased that the team did not charge us for the staging as many other agents do. They have a large supply of items in their warehouse that they are able to custom-match to their contracted houses.
The proximity of Kevin and Erin’s local office afforded us the opportunity for many face to face discussions as the sale progressed from concept, to offerings, to close of escrow. They frequently made the trek to our house to discuss items more efficiently broached in person.

Or course we would (and already have) recommended the team to others. They not only sold our home but they made the transition period of constant disruption to our lives the least difficult as they could.

My mother needed to find someone to sell my grandmother's house in the Novato Loma Verde neighborhood. I was helping her look and I came upon Kevin and Erin. When I saw their picture I felt I was in a DeLorean struck by lightning that took me back to 1985. I grew up with Erin here in the Bay area. We called and met with them. We were immediately impressed by their down to earth yet highly effective presentation on their plans for the home. They know the local market very well. There were many times we said to each other...wow, how lucky are we to have them helping us with something so important?
